Anarkan Medetbek kyzy, a creator from the Fashion Design department, wins a place at the BE NEXT Tbilisi competition

Anarkan Medetbek kyzy, a student of the Fashion Design department at Compass College, has won the prestigious BE NEXT Tbilisi competition, held as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi 2023. Her talent was recognised by experts from the fashion industry, and she has earned a place on a mentoring programme led by leading specialists in design.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi is one of the most significant events in the fashion world, drawing designers and professionals from around the globe, including representatives of Vogue Business, i-D and Dazed. This year the week featured more than 30 shows.

One of its key events was the BE NEXT competition, which exists to support young designers from Georgia and beyond. Winners receive financial support, the chance to study abroad, participation in international fashion events and a mentoring programme.

For Compass College and the Fashion Design department this is an enormous success and a confirmation of the high level of preparation of students under the leadership of department head Yulia Tsoi. Congratulations to Anarkan on an outstanding win!
