BBC Tokyo has released a promo film for the upcoming Olympic Games in Japan
“The film brings the Olympics into everyday Japan. The fact that nobody can travel to Tokyo for the Olympics was a big part of the early conversations around the film… That is why we decided to shoot ordinary, everyday scenes in Tokyo,” says Jonathan Gales, founder of Factory Fifteen, the studio behind this one-minute animated film.
The promo nods to all sorts of Japanese cultural touchstones: anime, J-pop, video games, toy vending machines.
